Used as an interconnection device that enables you to connect your portable generator directly to your home's wiring system. The device is installed behind your electric meter and will automatically switch your house from the electrical grid when your portable generator is turned on.

Standby Generators ​​

These backup power systems consist of a generator placed outside your home that is typically tied into your liquid propane or natural gas fuel supply. A transfer switch is usually located by your main breaker box. When it detects a power interruption, the generator will automatically activate. Once utility power is returned, the generator will shut down and return to standby.
